1956 Yamaha YA-2

Looking for any and all info on this bike i just picked up. Planning on full resto, but having trouble finding ANY info.

Wow, never seen a Yamaha that old.  Assuming you're in the US it's from before they were officially imported here.  You'll probably have to tap into Japanese collector groups to find out any info, or maybe try to find a person in the archives at Yamaha.

Nothing like doing a search for more information and coming across this very page. 

Yahama does have a little information on its website here (for the 1957 model), though most of the results in my search are parts.
