97 Suzuki Bandit 1200+ road race or street For sale / Trade.
Few years back I picked up a nice Blue Bandit 1200 with a blown motor. I had a motor in the barn that I years before when a local guy brought a Dwarf car from the Mid-west back east but the rules changed to 1000cc stock only.
Anyway the motor from that Dwarf looks to be a Katana lower with GSXR top end with ported intake runners. I swaped oil pans and installed it in the bandit used the stock bandit ignition system but also have Dynatec 4000. I made a nice dual chamber and baffled steel box to fit where the airbox was for both crank case vent and carb vents. Carbs are 39mm FCR flat slides. I made a sheel steel front nose cone to replace the head lamp set up and a steel belly pan as well as drilled and lock wired every thing and more then needed for NEMRR and USCRA road racing. I raced it once last year and found the front to be soft so over the winter the forks Showa 43C Cartridge, External Top-outs, got new seals, bushing, 10wt oil and some Race tech spring Recommended Front Spring Rate: 1.1 kg/mm, in the back i used a Hibusa shock and spring to add 3/4 of ride height. I've rebuilt all three master cyl and both front calipers. I have sever sets of Perelli slicks and a set of rains as well.
Have tons of parts, all the street equipment and a title.
What I don't have is the ability any longer for is muscling a big 4cyl around the 1.6 Loudon Road curcuit. I'll stick to my fast turttle the rd350 2 smoker.
Looking for $3000 or BO only trades concidered would be a 5pd Cobalt with good under carriage or a modern Trials bike.
