Well my Mom wants to go to street vibes this year and got a hotel room up in Reno for a couple nights. It isn't a big deal for her to ride there since she lives about 80miles from reno, but what about the punky buellster(blast)? I always drive my bike hard, almost daring a part to break, now I have to pune it down to make sure something doesn't break in between now and then, damn. Not to mention having to go over work I've don't to make sure the bike makes it. This combined with the altitude change has me a little worried. Last time I went up to the mountains my bike would barely run at idle without me revving the throttle. I might have to re-jet the bike but with the new foam air filter their isn't much I can do other than running the lean jets to even to compansate for the altitude. I can't wait though!

Your Buell is carbed?

Yeah it has a carb and it has an idle adjustment screw(brass needle screws into carb) which likes to rattle loose also. The buell blasts main enemy is itself. Even with a good front motor mount the bike shakes and rattles so much you cannot see anything out of the mirrors, parts close to eachother will fight to the death(i.e. air box vs. main wiring harnes-caught early only ate 3 wires), apparently the blast will also kill an aftermarket tachometer in short order. Maybe I'll attack Virginia City at 7500ft and put the bike out of its misery, I treat it good but if the bike gives up it's last POP in Reno it will have lived a good life.
