I'd just put the cooler in the return line between the engine and the oil tank. No need for a sandwich plate that way. Kits are nice if someone has worked out all the mounting for you, but coolers are pretty simple to mount. They usually come with clamps for the frame.

Dang. Good idea. I'll have to investigate routing and placement. I wouldn't want to burn anyone's legs on an oil cooler.
