Ow. Yeah, get better quickly.
Wow dude, I'm glad you are still with us. That sounds like a hell of a crash.
Here's to a speedy recovery, check in with us so we know you're OK.
Was this on the (last) Michaux dual sport? I rode it twice, and hurt myself both times. Its a rough, rough course... particularly the last option before the breakfast stop (where I went over the bars, knocking myself a little silly and bashing my left knee bad enough that I went home shortly after 2 years ago) and a fewer of the crazier A options later on. Still one of my favorite rides.
Glad you made it home to tell about it.
Holy Crap, FOX; I was waiting for the punch line at the end of your story!
One of God's woodland critters taking vengence on two wheelers?
Get well soon!
Dan
holy crap dude. Are you still at the hospital? Did they take pictures of you or the bike at the scene to give you any reminder as to what happened?

Throttle Body Injection is truly a terrible burden for any engine to be cursed with, but I have a hard time believing it could cause that much damage
JK, trying to bring levity to the situation. In reality, Im sure we are all quite worried for FT, and send him our wishes for a rapid recovery. Head injuries are tough, and can do some really crazy things to a person.
We are all pulling for you man, really praying for the best here!!!
Holy hell. Get better soon. Robyn will be disappointed if you can't make the Classic Run on 9/21.
I agree about the smart phone security. I don't have anything particularly important on my phone so I don't see the reason behind having super tight security.
I hope you feel better soon.
Regarding the tears: My wife broke her skull in 2005 from a softball accident. Small bumps to the front of her head send her to tears and she can't stop it. Most of the time she says it doesn't really hurt but she's crying anyways. We recently got some Trek bikes for trips around town. I'm like an over protective father with her and traffic. Yes we wear helmets.
Keep writing down how your feeling. It'll help you remember, possibly ... maybe. (conjecture)
Damn you're lucky that nurse came along, or that first group could have been the last to see you alive!
Regarding the smartphone thing, check this out:

Might be worth putting on your cell phone lock screen/wallpaper, it also gives people who find your phone a way to return it if it's locked.

Glad it wasn't worse....hope you heal up soon..
On the phone security...my phone is paid for through work, so the security is forced on us. Great for company data, but not for you personally if you're in an accident like this.
Ouch, I feel your pain. I woke up in a hospital in SLC about 5 years ago. I lived in Jackson, Wyoming at the time. Was blackout drunk and somehow got my keys from someone, drove my Wrangler off a small cliff without a seatbelt, got thrown from it, Jeep landed ontop of me. Broken back, broken foot, smashed wrist. Windshield channel pinned me down(left wrist and foot). They had to dig me out. Worst experience of my life. I have 3 fused vertebre from it, and a couple of bad scars on my left foot and wrist. My parents flew in from Ohio and were there by the time I woke up. Really scary stuff. Spent the 4th of July in the hospital and was there for a week. My brother had a similar incident 3 years ago and is in a wheelchair now.
Hope you have a speedy recovery, glad to hear you're alive.
