What was that sporty V4 bike made in the 80's and 90's called. I think it was a yamaha. Sorry for being so vague, lol.

Honda VFR is the obvious answer, but since you said Yamaha, I think you mean V-Max

There's a whole bunch of V-4 Honda that would fit that bill, with the VFR 750 & VFR 800 the most obvious ones.

V-Maxes are only sporty at the drag strip, corners or braking teach riders the proper fear of god.

I swear there was a sporty yamaha with a DOHC V4. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the V-max...

After a little research (and scouring my memory), I came up with nada - no V4 Yammies in a "sporty" mode.

The Honda Magna was also a V4, a competitor to the V-Max that didn't have the balls of the Mighty Max.

Maybe what I saw was a V-max with a custom fairing. I just got a glance of it on the highway. Looked fun!
