Any one using the LED lights from ebay for head lights? I have a found a few guys using them, but results are always different. Some bad some good. There is a guy on the KDX forum running one using the stock lighting coil witch puts out regulated 12V but its A/C. Still has good light output.
So anybody?

check out the adv-monster, nasty. Leds are great, low draw, big light.
Wow they looked well priced and good output
Got a link? I bought some H4 LED bulbs on ebay. They were very reasonable, but not bright enough. Light output was <35W incandescent equivalent by my testing (shining at the garage wall, comparing to 35W incandescent and 55W incandescent H4.) Also, the high ("Main" in English car terms) beam was exactly the same as the low beam. That is, there was no difference.
I wound up going with TruckLite's on my bike (7") and Genuine HD on Dr.Linda's (5-3/4").

I don't believe that you can run a LED on A/C. We looked into this on my partner's Honda and that was a big no go.
You can run them on AC, but there is always a DC converter in line.

KDX guys are running them on A/C power. Light output is way better then stock light.
LED's will run just fine on AC. Umm... Their Diodes, Doode. Now, if there's a control circuit in there that is expecting DC and pulse modulating it, that's a different subject.
went ahead and bought a LED light bar (apx 7.5in width, 4 in tall) to help provide extra light after being inspired by this thread...ill keep ya posted
Fingers crossed. This could be all for nothing or a big upgrade
I'll need to find out what brand they were, but a friend put some LED lamps in that worked great.
I installed a pair of LED driving lights on my truck last year. I LOVE them. Install thread here: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1203093-my-led-driving-light-installation.html
Well i hopped on ebay. Today, i got a my led light bar in the mail. 7inches wide. 4 inches deep. 2 inches tall? Its got a solid feeling aluminum body and looks alright.
I put jumpers on the lil guy and nearly blinded my dad. The garage lit up big time.
It took forever to mount on the bike. Mostly because i like things looking as factory as possible. I only had to drill two holes.
Gonna finish up wiring tomorrow but i push out the bike and did a test light with the bike pointed down the road. Blown away. Thats a hellofalotta light. woah.
Oh yeah. It was 26$.

well how's about a link to it?
LED light bar
I found it after cross searching the lights from the links above. Weird but it worked
Nice CarKid I think the punky could use one of them thingys.
Gotta finish the switch wiring today. My original plan was to make crash bars and mount two round LEDs on them. Easy mounting and good low placement. However, i am going to New Jersey this weekend and this worked well.
Ill post up night pictures soon. I tried taking pictures already but they dont do it justice =(
These bad boys give me a hard on.
Buy Ranger engine first. Buy Ranger engine first. Buy Ranger engine first....
For 7" round replacements, Truck-Lite makes a set, and JW Speaker makes a set. Anything else isn't even worth looking at right now.

200 a pop?! I'll stick with the harbor freights.
Thanks, btw. I run 100w, I think.
Well i realized i never updated the results. The picture was taking coming back from Asphault Adventures "explore the Shore" trip.
I figure this was around 9pm ish and i more and more realized that riding at night was no longer limited to my not so bright headlights. The led lit up the road and left/right of road so it increased my sight distance to almost daytime.
I have put quite a few miles on the bike with the LED setup and have yet to get "flashed" by other motorists, leaving me to believe the light is not too annoying to others.
In short. i love it. Its awesome and for the price, ya cant beat it.
I've been eyeballing those on Amazon for roof rack mounted floods on my truck. Thanks for the review and pic.
they have a 14-18in wide LED bar that ill be buying. its visually identical case but just wider, and 4700lumins or maybe it was 7400 lumins. 71 bucks.
That will go on the new DD beater rig.
I've been testing a set of the GE Nighthawk 7" LEDs recently. Amazon peoples claim they're the same as the Truck Lites. They're really good - nice pattern, very good reach and I find the color very easy on the eyes. This replaced a set of e-code H4s. Better light on the shoulders with the LEDs, which is great considering my commute through rural unlit deer country. Not cheap, but I think they're worth it.
As for the light bars, they've become standard in night racing. Every car at Thunderhill runs them now. I can vouch for the ones from Lang Racing, it's what the winning 949Racing car used last year. Here's a car we're building in the shop.

Are these available now without spending $200 for a set?
