Came across this while sniffing around for some news, so I thought it'd be worth sharing here.

TL;DR: India-based TVS Motor Company has acquired Norton and plans to introduce six new models over the next three years. Per the article, the new Norton models are expected to arrive sometime next year and debut in the U.S. "shortly after."

Wonderful

TVS ownership, British manufacturing and quality with TVS Chinese over site. Pricing above what Ducati asks for a SP2 Panigale in there sport bike and 50% more then what Triumph offers for a comparable bike. Going to set the world on fire with all ten dealershops in the US that take them up on that offer.

Having watched British reviews of new Nortons, they seem to be trading more on cachet and brand name than anything. Triumph arguably makes superior bikes, as noted above. The price point is just silly for what they are at this point.

Meanwhile, we are still waiting for BSA's return to these shores...3 years or more after they were promised.

They've been trying to revive Norton for so many years now, it's hard to pay attention anymore.  Still, I'd like to see them make a successful go at it.
