I called my parents last nigh to check in, and my dad told me that he just bought a motorcycle. My immediate response: Does Mom know?
He's going to retake bike school since he did the MSF course a few years ago. As far as I know, it's his first bike.
That's funny - I remember when I bought my first motorcycle and my dad asked me the same question.
My dad bought me my first bike, and no, she didn't.
haha... mom was gone (passed away) by the time I got mine... but I don't think she'd have had an issue with it... I think my mother-in-law was the person with the biggest issue about it...
I need another one :(

Bike, or MIL?
Go for the bike - it's a karma thing!
Good choice for a first bike - never ridden one myself, but they're light and I hear they're really easy to handle.
Cool first bike choice - it was high on my list before I took my MSF class. Nice and light, and a decent amount of torque. I hear they are very easy to ride.
