She lives! and she sounds like a open header big block at full tilt. I am going to set into Soo much trouble on this bike.

Yamaha - She looks like the SV but she feels like a Duc and sounds like a Motus (probably will).

I gotta admit, I have a horrible lusting for a 690 duke......

I can't imagine riding that big a single though.

I bought it with the intention of turning it into a dirtbike, but I'm really surprised at how much I like it in stock form. And, surprise!, it's a little heavier than I had expected.

Upon the well respected advice of Dr. Hess, it's getting a pair of Metzelers to carry me through the summer. The original tires only had 4100 miles on them, but the brake side of the front tire was pretty dry rotted and needed to be replaced. Aside from that, it's a completely unmodified (not even any extra chrome!), fuel injected 883 in Badass Black: the absolute cheapest Harley that you could buy in 2007. And it's exactly what I wanted.

In reply to Nick_Comstock: It is an electric motorcycle with pedals that are used to extend the range and provide exercise. Top speed is 75 mph with a 75 mile max range. The bike can be pedaled at speeds between 25 and 70mph at a normal bicycle cadence of 70 rpm or so. This normal bicycle pace is provided by a giant counter sprocket on the left side of the bike, which provides big jumps in gear ratio as you run through the bicycle gears. Pedaling is not required, but I feel that if i am sitting there, I might as well do something. Bikes acceleration is very good and the ride is smooth and quiet, other than the drive chain.

Went for a good long ride with some friends Sunday. Put in about 135 miles of almost exclusively windy back road. (I'm the dude)

I'm not, I'm 5'10", but I threw a leg over one at a local dealer and I can get by with the suspension set on the 1st setting. If it's a pain in the ass after a week in the saddle I'll buy a Sargent seat to lower it another inch.
