welllll i got a call late last night about the bike.
Seems like a gentleman is coming out tommorrow to come look at/buy the bike.
I was hesitant to condsider selling it but considering i have no sentimental attachment to it...
He offered me 3 times what i bought it for so that helps

guy texted me about it. told him it was mostly apart and not running cause i was cleaning it and redoing some stuff. he says ok. He just came over and says: "awh man i was really hopin to hear it run. thats why i came out here..."
hmmm which part of its APART and NOT RUNNING were unclear....

Well, I WAS going to jump in and give you some info, seeing as how I rode an '80 GS550E for several years, but I guess you won't be needing it. 
I don't know what you've got for bikes, but I loved my GS550E. I only sold it because I needed money desperately. Would still be riding it today otherwise, most likely. As it is, I've got a GS1100L instead - only twice the motor. And as soon as I fix the clutch issue I caused during improper reassembly last year, I'll be riding it again. In March! In Maine!!! How insane is that???
