I had a Suzuki rotary bike years ago , it was so HEAVY !

Unlike reciprocating piston engines, since rotary engines spin in only one direction they vibrate less and love to be revved at high rpm

Huh?

If a piston engine spins in more than one direction, something has gone very wrong.

As for smooth, have they actually ridden a modern, four cylinder motorcycle?
