Have you seen the new Renegade? I like this thing. The Fiat Panda 4x4, which it's based on, has a big following overseas as a small, very capable off-roader. If I didn't have an infant on the way in the next... uh, month, I'd be thinking about something like this for camping trips, strapping the canoe on top, and so on.
There's not a whole lot of details available on their site yet, but I'm intrigued.
In reply to Alan Cesar:
At first I thought it was ugly as sin. It's growing on me though.
I'll wait to see how the aftermarket supports it over here.

It's like a better looking 500L. What's not to like?
I like it, and depending on price and availability of 4x4/manual combo I'm seriously considering buying one in the next few years.
Chop the top and I think it would look pretty berkeleyin sweet.
I'm very interested. I want a small 4x4 for my next car, and was looking at the Patriot. If what I read about the Panda is true and I can swing another new car by then I would probably be that one.
I'm very interested. It is supposedly related not to the Panda, but the 500L. Domestic market will not be getting the diesel. The trail-rated Trailhawk model is available with the automatic only.
Looks like a Crosstrek competitor to me. I like the size and potential economy and off-road abilities. Here's hoping it fits two child seats.
Isn't that going to be available with a 8-speed auto and a diesel?
9 speed yes, diesel no, at least in North America.
