My fastest/quickest vehicle is 1-2-3
and 1-2
also have 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8,
oh and 1-3-4-2
and 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
1-5-3-7-4-8-2-6 makes a great noise (with a flat plane crank)
Don't forget 1-6-5-4-3-2.
And the only inline 4 I know of that isn't 1-3-4-2 is the Ford Model A. 1-2-4-3.
Third useless fact: If you need to come up with your 4 cylinder engines firing order, Just remember that 13 is too young, and 42 is too old.
Had a Toyota 3R engine, it's 1234 for some reason.
I mostly have 153624
I'm working on and currently in love with 1-4-9-8-5-2-11-10-3-6-7-12

There are 10 kinds of people in this world...
(1,6,7,12), (2,5,8,11), (3,4,9,10) - two-stroke boxer twelve!
1,4,3,2,5 - 144 degree V5, even fire
1, 19, 8, 11, 5, 18, 7, 15, 2, 17, 10, 12, 3, 20, 6, 13, 4, 16, 9, 14 - EMD 20-cylinder.
1-3-4-2-1-3-4-2-1-3-4-2-1-3-....3....3....3-3-3-3-....3....3.3.3.3...1-3-4-2-1-3-4-2-13421342134....3-3-3-3-3-3....3...3..3.3.3.3.3.333333.333 (etc.) - 1936 airbanks-Morse 32D

millions of Chevy V8's were built from the 50's to the 90's with the firing order cast into the intake manifold right in front of the carb.. same with Dodge.

But how many were timed from #8 cylinder?

Must be running a megasquirt, he's got his leading and trailing coils firing at the same time.

none of them, but i've been known to use the #6 plug wire to time them before..
double row 18?
Odd in the back, even in the front with #1 at tdc:
1-12-5-16-9-2-13-6-17-10-3-14-7-18-11-4-15-8
4-1-2-3. The Saturn's firing order is written on a little sticker on the front crossmember above the radiator. Not nearly as badass as stamping it onto metal...
