One of the rare 1,000 piece 1967 model year run can be found in the junkyard? Guys were scouring the country back in the 1980's looking for these and now one shows up in an Alabama? Somebody knows what this is because the picture of the speedometer is a clue. The 160mph speedo helps point out this is a legit '67 2000.

Except it's one of those.

"On Approval Vehicles sold "On Approval" will not be released to Members unless and until the seller notifies Copart of its acceptance of the high bid. In some instances, it may take up to three business days, including the day of the sale, for the seller to provide Copart notification of high bid acceptance."

About 7 months ago, I went through this with a 1968 Volvo 122 wagon that was in fair shape/not running/missing keys but had a title. Made a bid for $1000 on the last day. Won the car. E-mailed copart for details. Sent me back a response that the seller did not accept my auction bid amount and wanted $2500 for it. I was floored that this was even possible. Got an e-mail about 2 months after auction ended that seller would take $2000. I said no. About a week later after that, it got scrapped per the e-mail. Stupid way to do business.

In reply to Sine_Qua_Non:

So an owner would take nothing vs. $1000???? Seriously? How can that be possible?

Spite people who don't perceive the value as you do???

How hard are these to find basic parts for? I have always loved them and this one looks to have good bones. I dig the green, reminds me of the green on the A body 442.

There are quite a few guys on the internet selling general parts. There are a few key parts that are unique to the '67 2000. The rear plate trim, the speedo and tach, the head rests are a tough one but there are enough general parts to carry over from the '66-'67 1600's and the '68-'70 2000's for tranny and engine parts. Like the 510 the bumpers, fenders, and grills get the same price as gold. Ball joints are expensive.

Datsun ran quickly away from the roadster and erased their memory when the 1970 240Z took off. Roadster who?

It is just the same as an auction having a reserve.

I dig the car though. I would love to have one of those.
