No actual Marines were involved. Huh, go figure. Why does the news have such a hard time getting this stuff right? If 2 US Marines suddenly turned into one Air Force serviceman, one National Guardsman and an Englishman how do we know they weren't just really a group of crooks robbing a nice Moroccan fellow's curiously diverse and ample supply of armaments?
The only thing in that article I can trust now is that part about the French having a surplus supply of bravery medals laying around to hand out almost immediately.

I'm berkeleying crying laughing. People are starting to look at me funny
This is still fantastic news of heroic actions by both servicemen and civilians alike. We need more of this.
First, I’m super proud of these guys…Merica’ Berkley Yah and all of that.
Now, who’s idea was it to subject these guys to a news conference.
They’re young, fresh from a traumatic experience, and have no public relations experience that I’m aware of.
They could have said all kinds of things that would have inflamed the situation and now they’re intimately associated with thwarting the execution of the plan.
Won’t they now need to be placed in protective custody until a Lone Wolf scenario can be confirmed and even then, isn’t there a significant risk that someone else will seek retribution for them messing up an otherwise perfectly good terrorist plot???
Oh well, at least they’re assured of being up to their eye balls in Amy’s for a long, long time.
