I will wager $500 that 75% of people who would complain about that making the car heavier could afford to lose 2 times what the system weighs in bodyweight. I've got a coworker who could drop a few stone who. just. would. not. shut up about how he just ordered a titanium GP style exhaust for his R6 that'll save 20lbs. I lol inside.
I realized that this season when I was debating whether or not to pull the A/C out of the 944. The A/C was still there when the car left, I'm down ~35 Lbs.

AC is mandatory on all my cars. Can't understand how people could do that over here in Texas. LOL

Pretty sure the sequential lights are factory. Also, nostalgia.

Who said they weren't factory?

Why? Did those features make the car worse somehow?
No, but being as this is GRM where men are men, it must somehow weaken his sense of manliness? I can hear him mumbling under his breath as the left, "Real men don't need nothing but wheels, tires, wheels and a seat. And the danged seat is optional!"

Why do you have to be a dick? You didn't even understand why I said it.

My Grandparents lived through the Blitz in London, they said it wasn't too bad either, doesn't mean I'd want to try it myself

I just wonder if I can make it a Batman emblem rather than a Mustang!

Seems a little silly, but it wouldn't stop me from buying one. And the current 'stang is on the short list of new cars that I would buy if I had the means...But I don't.

OTOH my wife would think thats the coolest thing ever

I'm not sure how a factory item would influence your dealership experience.

And if that swings even one car purchase in favour of getting a Mustang then the feature is a success

I like the sequential turn signals. Indifferent on the bat-signals.

A new Mustang would be on my list of cars to drive were something to happen to my TDI and I needed a new DD.

I don't have the puddle lights on my 2013 V-6. I think having them shaped like the Mustang logo is silly, but even if they weren't I still would not have taken them because I don't need them and didn't want to pay extra for the rest of that option package.

I do like that even base V-6s like mine have HID headlights standard, and the taillights look pretty cool in action. The muggles seem to like them. I also like the LED DRL treatment. They look like an unbroken beam of light...

...instead of the chintzy-looking Christmas lights you see on Audis.

How long before the aftermarket makes a mask that makes it project a picture of Calvin peeing on a Chevy symbol?

Okay, I guess I have to explain. All the salesman could talk about were the gimmicks. He knew nothing of substance about the car at all. I prefer not to give my money to someone who doesn't know how to do their job.

On a related note, the rear end of the 2013 Miata will feature a pair of LEDs that project a small triangular rainbow on the ground below the tail pipe.

The sequential taillights were a T Bird thing, not a Mustang.

Personally, I don't view my car as a fashion accessory (unlike most people) so I am completely immune to that type of sales pitch.

'67-70 Shelbys had them, as well as the '68 California Special and High Country Special.

Seems unnecessarily gimmicky to me. I don't think I'd care much one way or the other.

I can understand bravenrace walking out. I think I would ask for a different salesman to assist me. Not over an issue with the features, but if a sales droid thinks that's what I care about on the car, he doesn't understand me and probably won't know the real information I actually care about.

I don’t, I’ve never walked into a dealership to look at a car until I’ve read and know by heart every single detail, spec, performance, road test, options etc. By the time I go to a dealer it’s because I’m serious about buying and want a test drive to help make the final decision before talking $$’s. Every enthusiast I know is the same. For the non-enthusiast who is just looking for a car, things like this give the ‘WOW’ factor that helps sells cars and puts a smile on my kids face every time I see it. I have a 4 year old Nephew who begs to see the pony light every time we’re over there.
