2019 Indy 500 - I’m back.

Totally jacked - been to 20 races - 1977-2002 - I missed a few years.  The yearly tradition of driving 3-4 hours each way and making it a single day event wore us down.   I’ve been with everyone in my family including buddies and uncles, cousins.  

This year the 16 year old daughter is going with me - she’s a marching band person so some of the Purdue music will be cool.

Tips where to park? We used to park in neighborhoods and walk a mile.   

Once again I’m totally jacked.

My trick?  Bring a big commercial truck and go in with the commercial entrance on the side.   The helpful traffic people waved me around the line of traffic and Let me in without a ticket or anything.  I parked my truck and watched the whole event in an empty seat about 3/4 of the way up the first level just past the start finish line.
