Well, the Lions lost their OC. Get to play him twice next year.

When he took the job so quickly I wondered if he felt the QB play in Detriot wouldn't get them to the Super Bowl. Especially since the DC was also getting interviews. I am not a fan of the Lions but was really hoping they would/will get to the super bowl. Sort of gives Cleveland some hope if they make it one day. Anyways I am rooting for the Bills and Commanders. However if I was betting I would bet against them laugh

He stayed last year because he thought Goff and Co were capable of winning. And the offense did play that way most of the season. What fell apart was most of the D and some of the O due to injuries. Then the offense had to take it up a notch just to get a week off.

The lack of D is what killed them against DC. Not the offense. Goff had to press hard because they got behind fast and it just got out of hand.

What I really wonder is if the style of play lead to some of those injuries.

Chiefs fan here.   I had a measured, thoughtful post cataloguing my thoughts about this season and especially the MVP battle between Lamar and Josh Allen this year, but then I remembered this is supposed to be a trash talk thread, so instead:

BRING ON THE THREEPEAT!

Agreed. The defense was just a sieve later in the year when the injuries piled up. We gave up more than 30 points 3 times in December. Goff probably did feel like he had to press, especially since they fell behind early. In a lot of ways it felt like when we played Buffalo. Just constantly playing catchup. Still, he did not play well on Saturday. That doesn't mean I want to give up on him, but there's no two ways about it, he had a bad game.

I'm a bit mixed on Johnson. Obviously you can't argue with the results on the field while he's been the OC, but I do think he had a tendency to get a bit cute sometimes with the trick plays. The disastrous pass by Jamo on Saturday being a prime example. I do think the offense will be fine without him, Campbell is more involved in the play-calling than a lot of people think, and they still have guys like Gibbs, St. Brown, La Porta, Sewell, etc. And Goff is capable of being very good, as we've seen. He just picked a really bad day to have a bad game.

As for Ben, thanks for a couple of great years, but I sincerely hope you crash and burn in Chicago. Nothing personal. laugh

I still can't believe the Lions lost. Oof. But the Commanders played a hell of a game and deserved that win! I hope they make it to the Super Bowl.

On the other side, I'm really rooting for the Bills to go all the way. They have been exciting to watch and have proven they can beat the Chiefs handily. I dig what they are doing up there. Plus, they have never won one, so it would be cool to see them get theirs.

With the bears ownership, he'll get three years- just like all of them. They won't get a decent line, and ruin Willam's career, draft another qb. And Ben will get fired when he somehow can't get a top pick play well behind a sive of an offensive line. I don't understand why the bears ownership are following decades of Lions failures.

Ben is like McVay with aggressive play calling but not from that tree. The rams have very lax practices and most starters do not compete in the preseason, however they seem to have injury problems as well. I can't imagine Dan scaling back on his aggressiveness to avoid injuries.

I did find it interesting the Jayden Daniels uses VR sped up to train his mind to make better and quicker decisions. It's amazing how well he is doing.
