In about 1981 I bought a brass key fob that was for Cell 27, La Bastille, Paris. I carried it every day since. Sometime yesterday, it wore through at the hole and fell of the ring. Gone. I've owned my 56 Chev since 1977, an RCAF greatcoat since 1980... Other than my internal organs, I don't think I have anything else older. Time to move on, start the search for a new key fob. Maybe a Guantanamo Bay fob would work.

I bet some prisoners in the Bastille didn't last 30 years...
