I'm not sure what the best deal on Porsches is at that price, but I'll take it.
So many choices and tough to decide...
Honda swapped Mini. Just drive it everywhere. Rev on people at lights. Giggle.
E39 M5. Road trip.
Realistically... I'd replace my beater Town and Country with a nicer vehicle capable of handling light snow, carrying more than 2 people, and eating up highway miles in a more fuel efficient manner. And I'd continue to enjoy playing with my S2000.

I think I've reached the "Corvette is the grown up answer" phase of my life.
sadly you won't get a z06 for 30k, decent is 40+. an ls3 wide body will run you over 30 and a narrow body stick shift ls3 is under 30.

996.2
987.1 S Cayman
would probably both be solid $30k choices. 997.1 are 40k for a decent one and 997.2 seem to be 50+ and if you want a specific color you're easily at 60.

Usually my only requirement when it comes to paint is "present." Occasionally, I've waived that rule if the car is cheap enough.
One parking spot. Is it possible to add a 4 post lift and make it 2 spots?
Let's say $6k for lift and two $12k cars?

Kinda had this hypothetical question turn real. Instead of spending $30k, I spent less than half of that on this.
I'd go for a very decent Bugeye with hardtop (because they look best with hardtop). Something like this:
My dream car has always been an Alfa Romeo Guilia of some sort. Likely not possible for $30k any more though.
I put your hypothesis to the test and did this. And yes, no kids in this household. Although I have been looking at Evo IVs as a fair weather daily.
I'll take a one-owner-with-a perfect-Carfax 2000 MR2 Spyder, and $18,000 in the bank.
Had it for about 2 months. It's an absolute joy to drive.

Hey! I have that. I have a LOT less than $30k in it though.
There's a bit of inspiration for you.
Shop well and you would still have about 10k left to have a beater miata on the side.
I need to get the hardtop for mine painted, but they look better to me with just a white hardtop rather than body color.
of course, mine has been modified a bit since the photo with the hardtop on there.
