Louis and Clark had a .46 caliber repeating air rifle quite capable of killing a man on their expedition. Not saying the rifle in the video isn't cool, but big powerful air rifles have been around a while.
In IL you need a FOID to buy a .22 and above. I have a good friend who's been in the shooting sports industry for ~40-years. He has one of the higher-end .188 ones that he brought over for me to try out. It's definitely nothing like my Daisy .22 I've had since I was a kid. I can't imagine what the .357 would be like!
