I'm done piling snow. We're 74" deep and I've got nowhere to put any more of it so I'm looking at snowblowers for my Kubota L3200. Any experiences out there to share?

Some Kubota tractors have a PTO that spins the opposite direction of every one else, which would limit your choices. Not sure if that applies to yours or not, but you need to know that first.

Assuming that it is the same as everyone else, there are really only a couple of companies that make the smaller class 1 stuff, and there isn't a lot of difference between them except for details. I have a 60" Allied, which is the same as the Farm King and Buehler, and in that size the only different one I see occasionally is the Red Devil. I had mine on the front of my old Farmall H initially and now it's on the back of my diesel Nortrak.

If you have remote hydraulics get the hydraulic turn spout but don't bother with the hydraulic distance unless you have no room to toss the snow. If you don't have the hydraulics, try and find the electric spout turner if there is any chance of getting a cab. Newer 540 rpm ones have 4-blade impellers vice the older 3-blade ones and they tend to keep up with the front augers better.

I'm looking at a Nortrac 60" unit. It's a 4-blade impeller and manual everything, which I actually prefer. If the Kubota goes down my 1953 Ford is the backup, so added electronics or hydraulics aren't desirable.

Manual is fine if you don't have a cab, but the second or third time you are looking over your shoulder driving in reverse and the wind blows the yellow snow your dog created all over your face you will be wanting the cab and remote spout.

If I was going to buy new it would probably be a toss up between the Nortrak one and a 48" lawn mower one with the new 22hp HF motor bolted to it in a frame that attached to the bucket.

I don't want another engine to feed and maintain, but I do like that idea.

Is it a front or rear PTO? Rear pto's should all spin the traditional way. Just pay close attention to power requirements and get something wider than the width of your tractor. Manual shute is perfectly fine. Its what our 8ft single stage had on it and never gave us issues.

Anybody have experience with Farm King? Found a used one at a dealer. He says it's a really good unit, but he's also selling it. Various internet sources have good things to say as well. Made in Canaduh!

A Farm King is exactly the same as mine, just different color paint. Same company.

Mine works fine, and it is pretty beat from a lot of use. There is a mod out there to add rubber or plastic seal strips to the ends of the impeller, and if the fan housing is decently smooth it's well worth the work.

My 20hp tractor is probably a bit too small, but if I put it in creep gear and feed it slowly I've always been able to drive through anything under about 4' on a single pass.
