So I found this Sentra SE-R Spec V on craigslist.

$500, seller seems to claim it runs. Obvious front end collision. I really don't know the market for these cars or enough about them to know if it's worth having. But what appears to be a not extreme amount of damage and a "need gone asap" are raising red flags for some reason.

I clearly don't know much about buying an obvious broken car since I don't seem to be learning much from my $400 Dodge yet.

Anyway, I feel like keeping an eye on this one until next pay day, maybe somebody else will buy it first or I'll talk myself out of it by then.

I would pass unless you really love it. It is a 2-3K car fixed up so it's not like you will flip it for a profit.

I noticed the ad is 21 days old, i think it'd be gone by now if it was worth having.

Bet the upper rad support is bent. The car could be made streets legal with a hammer, zip ties, and duct tape. Chump car or lemons car?

My theory with cars to flip are if it needs body work it has to have low mileage and be mechanical good. If it needs mechanical work the body needs to be good and millage needs to be average

That car needs body work and is a high mileage car. The supposedly factory re built motor may be somthing but unless there is paper documenting it that means nothing and at 100k it is not exactly a low mileage motor.

Yeah I decided to pass on this and buy a scratch and dent appliance instead.
