There are 18 of us at work who all chipped in a dollar. 3 did not. Suckers. I will purchase more on my own. It's entertainment; not a waste of money.

First: Caterham Seven, Second: a big garage with a nice house. Third: vacation in the Seven touring the states with the GF. Forth: Maybe my own little track hidden in the woods somewhere.

I too have succumbed to the tax on people who suck at math. It's worth $2 for the excitement once every few years though.

I'd be in in a heartbeat. Upon winning, I'd also vanish from the public eye faster than a politician after a sex scandal.

I thought about buying this weekend passing through TN. I never have bought one before. I would buy a TR6, a new Rolls Royce Drophead, a used diesel truck, a new Shelby 289 Cobra for the fiance, have a really nice wedding and honeymoon and save the rest for life and a house and huge workshop. Also donate a lot of money.

Same list here.

Second might be an accountant/banker type.

I'd ensure I didn't end up like many who win, broke a few years later.

Was in Pittsburgh for work yesterday...5 quick picks before leaving town. Had to. That much?? First time I've played the lottery in ~5 years.

I generally just play the FL lotto, but will spring for this one. First, attorney, second, good financial guy. Then, my own island.

Mega Millions is $465M with a $350M cash payout. I'd buy 600 acres, build a nice 3,500 sq ft house, race track, 10,000 sq ft paddock. Then I'd build about 10 houses out there for my friends and family and just play Forza 4 in real life forever. I'd host races out there for the GRM crowd all the time. Much fun would be had by all.

My house would probably be surrounded by my close friends/family too. You want to live in my compound? Do work.

My wife and I have pretty expensive tastes, but I think we could manage to get by on 540 million.

I've always thought about it this way, what fun is it to have all that money if you can't have fun. Who do you have fun with? Your friends and family. So, you have 10 houses or so and have your own little private neighborhood of your closest friends and family. I've always wanted my own race track, with that scratch a $25M race facility wouldn't be that hard of a hit. Add to that the ROI using it as a business for test track and race events, it just makes sense. I'd have all track lighting and all paddock facilities run off wind turbines and solar panels. Try to make it as off grid as possible.

Your new lawyer will tell you all about the liabilities of this idea. I will come play at your track, and I promise (no ,really, really promise) not to sue you if anything goes wrong.

If anything went wrong, it may just be easier to execute the survivor. LOL Then claim trespassing. Haha!! This is Texas after all...

Seriously though, I know about the liabilities and I'm sure the multimillion dollar insurance policy I'd have would cover it all, but huge waivers would have to be signed. I'd have an attorney on hire most definitely, in fact I have a good friend who is one. May have to talk to him... Anyway, all this is subject to me actually winning the lottery. In which case I'll piss myself and pass out and then make a mad dash to Austin to collect the check and then turn it over to my financial advisor immediately.

Flounder Alert!

I disagree. The worst would be to piss it away by donating it to the US government to pay down the national debt! A drop in the liberal spendaholic bucket!
