I saw this tonight and I have to say this guy has his head on straight and all he cares about is the quality control and engineering at Chrysler and Fiat Group. It looks like he really cares about making everything better for Chrysler.
I will say that I had mixed feelings about him and the way he was running the company, but after this interview I think I like what he's doing.
They also blurped that Alfa Romeo will be making a return to the US for the 2014 model year.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/cool-18.png)
Also I didn't realize that the Italian Government makes him ride with a Security Detail in armored cars when he's in Italy. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)
It's really worth the watch.

Thanks for posting the link, I missed it. I've been watching this whole italian chrysler thing with great anticipation. After the raping daimler gave them and the bumbling morons at cerberus or whatever, they deserve a break.
Even if you don't like Chrysler or Fiat, it's really worth the watch, because he seems like the type of guy you would want running a big company like that.
The fact that he abandoned the CEO floor and put his office on the engineering floor to keep a better eye on things should say something. And it also sounds like he's a workaholic, not taking a much time for himself, going between Auburn Hills and Turin all the time.
Nice to see/hear that he kept Ralph Gilles around. Talk about a true car guy!

I saw an interview with Gilles from last year on tv. He is truly a car guy. I think Sergio has really let him loose with the SRT division. Gilles really takes pride in those cars.
It was cool to see and I was also confused why he needed security and bullet-proof cars in Italy. I couldnt imagine the stress of keeping up with that many companies around the world.

If you watch the extras, he explains why.
Basically Fiat is the #1 Italian Corporation. The security detail is from the Italian Government.
