The more I think about it, the more pissed I am. There are tree limbs that have fallen and are partially blocking roads, forcing drivers to cross the double yellow line to proceed. If you're going to send me a notice about my snowy sidewalks I want those limbs cleared within minutes. I can't park on my street from November to March so the street can be plowed. I want it plowed by the time the third snow flake has fallen. I want all city streets clear of snow and ice EVERY DAY.

Bureaucrats at their best. Give them regulations to enforce but not the brains to actually do a public service. I'd burn them a new ass for certain.
Another vote for local news. In addition to sticking it to the sidewalk guys, it may light a fire under the power company guys to take a closer look at your area (tree limbs, etc.).
