I have a 86 944 non-turbo and I have a rear brake question. The service manual talks about a 20* angle for the piston. What's that all about? The e-brake doesn't act on the caliper piston so that can't be it? Any guidance?

Wow, the GRM community fell silent on a car-related question. The end is near!

You posted on a Friday afternoon. That's the slowest time for traffic, and maybe it got buried by Xgames lamentations or other topics in the meantime. I'll bet a nice Monday bump will get a couple of guesses.

On the face of the piston, behind the brake pad, there is a groove in the face. That groove needs to be turned to set it to the 20 degree angle.

I'll ask my 924 Turbo friends what that is all about as I just remember reading a thread on it and meant to circle back around later, which I haven't done yet.
