I might have a chance to buy this from our company. It's a 98 E350 with 16' box and lift gate. We bought it used about 6-years ago, it's just shy of 80kmi now, and I've probably put 20kmi on it myself.

The good: 4-new rear tires, cat converter just replaced(stolen), newer battery, in the 5-years I've been here it's never failed to start/run other than twice when the battery was dead.

The bad: The heater control valve broke years ago & is set to full-hot. I hear it's a royal pain/expensive to get fixed, and at this point I have no idea if the a/c would even work. When they replaced the converter, there's a noticeable exhaust leak, and they didn't bother to replace the broken exhaust hangers. The p/s pump is going out. There's a pretty severe, though intermittent, miss in the engine, despite just having a coil-pack replaced. The radio doesn't work. The rear roll-up door, while functional for now, is probably beyond repair. And lastly, the lift gate is sort of a hodge-podge affair. It doesn't really fit under the truck, so I had to fabricate some redneck mounts to hang it off the back deck. The switch to operate it is also direct wired and the contacts are going bad, which happens almost annually.

In general, it's also lead a pretty hard and neglected life, as no one is really responsible for it, and the company has no concept routine maintenance.

So, I'm thinking $2500-max? Is that realistic?

I think that would be a good to great price if you can buy it that cheap. V10?

I look at the UHaul truck sales site for trucks a good bit. You would pay double that $$$ (or more) for double the miles, but regular scheduled maintenance. Change the location on the link.

I see what you mean about the gate. I have used that one, it is supposed to fold up and tuck under the frame.. it would scrape on the ground under that truck.

Roll up door does not look too bad. If you are handy, you can get the wood from the dealer or a truck service place and replace it yourself using the hardware.
