About 12 hours ago I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Wheels777, his two great sons, and his wonderful wife. Having had multiple conversations with the family over several challenges I already knew they were pretty special people, and this trip just reinforced this opinion. The travel delirious team of my wife and myself showed up at 6am after 900 miles of travel and zero sleep(and probably a desperate need of showers). They welcomed us into their home offering food, facilities, and a more than generous amount of time and assistance despite the fact that they were in the midst of preparing one of their own cars for a car show and were busily cooking up multiple batches of chili to enter in a local chili cook off.
And of course I got the barn tour 
The land speed Stude, the 10 second datsun, the 10 second Bug, The land speed datsun, the Nova on the wall, the DD, the parts cars, the other car on the wall, the parts of cars, the attic of headers, the small block burial ground, the plethora of ford 9" housings, the cams, the heads, the boxes of assorted AN fittings, the incredible prices of these parts, the ability to put the same stuff everybody else uses together just a little better and lots cheaper than everyone else, the land speed records, multiple articles in multiple magazines, the future builds, the long term goals (planned down to the day years in the future). It was a fairly inspiring visit. Thank you guys.
