Oh, there was probably an alarm system. It was just needlessly complex and required a special interface that you can only get from a dealer.

^That also utilizes the absolute trash-est, most garbage, also dealer-only sensors ever created, that false-alarm constantly and trigger a required fire dept response every damn time, to desensitize you to actual emergencies occurring.
...not like I have any experience with this at all at my business...
