Seller said: Wood frame home built in 1954. 2 bedrooms ,1 bath around 1300 sq ft. House is free but, needs to be moved. Built on crawl space.

they used to do that here at the shore.. free house, but you need to move it. Worked out cheaper all around really

guy bought a historical home right off the square here that was being taken for parking garage for $1. he had it moved piece by piece to california and reassembled there.

There's a guy around here that probably does about 6 of those a year. He buys a lot, or a few lots in a row, and does them up one or two at a time. If you have a good plan and some experience, they're not that expensive to move

Too bad it’s in Atlanta, My uncle is a building mover and I spent a few years working for him. Someone needs to find me a free garage in MA that I can move next to my house.

a couple of years ago my aunt got a "free" house.. it's a big old monster of a house that was built in the late 1800's and has 2 full stories plus an attic that might as well be considered another level- the ceilings in each level are 10 feet hight... it was about 10 miles from the land that she owns, and it cost just over $100,000 just to get it moved and set down on the foundation, which is a square that's just under 40 feet on each side. so far, they are into it for a cool quarter of a million and the remodeling of the house is about 2/3 done..

it's an awesome house, but man, that's a lot of money for a 150 year old house..
