simple durable improvement" for building exterior oddities??

My guess is blow-on, spray-on concrete or stucco type exterior wall covering.

Paul,
As we have talked about in the past, my year continues to be off to a great start. Not, "rush out and buy a Porsche 911" type good but good none the less. The super gravy train is drying up as they plug in cheaper vendors but we are still getting a nice increase in activity. I am increasing headcount by two.

Speaking of headcount, the head count addition of one that I have made in my house has been a wonderful challenge but boy, sometimes quite the challenge.

In the industry, those exterior finishes are typically known as EIFS, Shotcrete, Gypcrete, LVSC, etc.

Since OHSCrifle is an architect, I'm pretty sure he is familiar with these terms.

But "simple durable improvement for building exterior oddities" is intriguing.

I'll always call myself an architect, but now as a "building exterior" consultant, I don't get tangled up in tasks like coordinating interior design or electrical engineering decisions. Hooray.

I do lots of work with contractors, owners, designers. My firm doesn't push any particular product but we do have some that we recommend avoiding. [cough.. stucco on OSB.. cough].

Often contractors hire us to help convince an owner not to spend money on things that will leak. Basically an independent voice, to review or help fine tune a plan. We also work for owners as an independent set of eyes, or for architects to figure out atypical challenges.

Didn't mean to be cryptic with the description.

Congrats again on the job change.

Well, it's official.

The sense of relief from leaving the old place was greatly exceeded by the positive vibes at the new job the first two days. Extremely professional, and positive.

Ever seen a construction company that has every Superintendent put together a weekly PowerPoint presentation of job progress on each job to show the owners? Me neither.

I went from a company where I NEVER heard a single employee say a single good thing about the company, to a company where every single employee seems to be thrilled to work there.

I started a major remodel/ expansion of a large Ford dealership this week. I'll be parked there for the next 12 months.
