Would you still listen to it if it was a podcast by forum members? I've been thinking of that sort of thing, I volunteer as a host- or I'll pitch the terrible ideas, either way.
Did this a few years back on a live format. It was available as a podcast as well. My plan was similar, but the co-host the station hooked me up with (and I unfortunately accepted) took the show off the rails in his own direction and threw a fit when it didn't go his way (this is a pattern of his. Looks like he's on probation again). I ran with the show for a year before dumping it.
Building a new studio of my own down the line, but no plans for automative related content. It could always happen, though. Sure is fun.
I like his movies. He has been involved with some outstanding documentary type car flicks
The thing about the dynamic of a Carolla, Coleman and Pasterjak trio doing the show would be that you'd have sequences that go something like this.
Carolla: James, 23, Vermont, you're on rachets with wrenches, whatever idea you have involving a subaru, don't do it, it's going to blow up and you'll be living at your parents when you're 27. And you should probably stop vaping.
(caller) James: ummm actually I'm interested in swapping a 454 into the back of my Yaris hatch.
Coleman: getting the transmission linkage setup will be problematic, I'd want to get if something from an SW20 or fiero would potentially work best, obviously everything would be custom fabricated and you have a lot of space, temperature control will be of potential concern. Steering, you'll obviously have to be running some sort of depowered rack at this point
JG: Steering and handling dymanics are certainly be interesting as weight balance is going to be very far back. The steering will potentially get very light under acceleration, though the traction should be incredible. How short will those axles be or are you planning on widening the quarters and rear track?
Adam: So let me get this straight, you want to put a BBC into Yar-ass?!?! Who molested you?!?!
Adam already does an auto related podcast and it's called "Carcast". Sometimes Goldberg (yes, that Goldberg) sits in for Adam but I skip those episodes. Also, my avatar looks like me because I paid a person on www.fiverr.com to make a Simpsons character out of me.

Just watched Adam on Steve Hilton's Sunday night program with Tammy Bruce too. He really promoted the fact that he was a "car guy" and even mentioned Jay Leno being a car guy, which we know but a lot of people still probably don't. And that he doesn't even feel bad about burning a small amount of hydrocarbons to enjoy his special cars. I like the way he thinks! I wish Steve McQueen, PLN, and James Garner were still with us.
I loved Adam's recollection of James Brolin, married to "you-know-who," driving his beloved gas-guzzling Raptor. Very prescient insight about the Hollywood crowd.
