My kitchen has this really awful (linoleum?) tile that is glued down on top of really awful continuous linoleum.  Some of the tiles are slowly moving around on the still-tacky adhesive.  When some adhesive is exposed, if you touch it or step in it, it never comes off.  You are now sticky forever.

If I wanted to pull up this tile and remove all the adhesive, how could I do that quickly? (but preserve the linoleum, for now).  I tried some cleaners and goo gone.  Goo gone will get it like 90% clean, but its still gross and tacky.

Never have done it, but have been told that sitting dry ice on tile will remove it cleanly if left for a minute or two.

I suspect that unprotected contact with dry ice will also cleanly remove your fingers.
