Gotta teach the kids how to recover from a proper slide.
No snow yet. And it's been so mild that none of the outdoor rinks and/or lakes have frozen for skating. There is nothing worse than "non-winter". Cars are way, but the so are the skis, skates, and toboggans.
If it is supposed to be cold, give it to me. And lots of snow . . .

You just have to know how to have fun with it !
Zoo, how can you not have snow? We've had quite a bit and I'm only an hour and a half west of you! Cripes, come to think of it, you can have ours!

Impossible, it's cold! That trumps any sort of fun.

Snow and ice skates don't usually mix. They have nice indoor places to use those skates.

Although once it's on the ground, I just live with it. I even like going out in my car and tackling freshly-covered roads (Hakkapelittas FTW).
I hate having everything get covered with road salt, though.
The best part of winter is spring.

Damned "lake effect" -- everything dumps in Northern NY. We are quite temperate here. Six degress celsius yesterday, above 0 today.

You know I would, but the camera was frozen
FL is having our version of a cold snap. 30s tonight, 20s predicted for tomorrow. I went over to my parents' house to bring in their orchids, ginger, potted mangos, etc. so they would not be killed. Then I went back to my place and picked a pineapple.
I would rather have left it on the plant to ripen a little longer, but it would not survive the next two nights
The only bad thing about snow is that it prevents the ice from freezing thick enough for ice racing.
central NH and not a flake to be seen.. granted we got 16 inches right before halloween.. but it doesnt count..lol
We got maybe an inch. The Altimax Arctic's went on. I may take them off tomorrow since its suppose to warm up. Yeah, they don't like sudden movements.
