Pretty good concert, a lot of heavy hitters pay tribute to AIC's 30+ year influence, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Dallas Green (City and Colour), Fishbone, Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), KORN, Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Mad Season), Ann Wilson, Duff McKagan (Guns n’ Roses), Mastodon, Metallica, Dave Navarro, Krist Novoselic (Nirvana, Giants in the Trees), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Nancy Wilson, and the debut musical performance of Lily Cornell Silver (daughter of Chris Cornell and Susan Silver), among many others. The event also featured appearances from members of Pearl Jam, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave), Les Claypool, Robert Downey Jr., and many more.

A word of caution, I thought it'd be good background music, while I work on other stuff, but I pretty much just watched and sang along the whole time, so if you've got other stuff to do, maybe don't watch. wink

Hearing some of these amazing musicians cover AIC songs, just proves how amazingly unique Layne's voice was.

Lily Cornell Silver's intro from her mom, and AIC's band manager was touching, she's really talented too, no real surprise.

I watch this a few days ago and man, it was heavy. Some berkeleying great talent there. Although the the Korn version of would? totally stomped Metallica's version. This was a good motivation to donate to MoPop. Not just because I live somewhat close but because it's an amazing place. They've got some awe inspiring memorabilia. I saw the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind there when it was called EMP.
