Seen this kit on some Velocity show w/ a segment from SEMA, evidently fairly new. Not typical GRM but it may appeal to some.

There is also the ezlip. I haven't tried, but am curious. It would be WAY more affordable than the factory piece for my 9-3...

Haha yep, maybe now that it's bloody expensive the local ricemarts will stock it and I can finally get some!
"garage door" type skirts on the front of the car are pretty much useless aerodynamically (except for blocking the gap between a bumper and splitter), they'll fold in at much above highway speeds, and the longer the skirt the easier it will fold in. So for a 4" air dam you should custom-build it from aluminum and/or fiberglass.

Garden edging works better, much stiffer. Still not great of course, but for $10..

The aforementioned garden edging is what you want.
I've heard that industrial conveyer belt material works quite well.
Basically it's a steel belted tire without the tread.
A buddy of mine uses it on the front of his 924S race car and it holds up at 120+mph.

I looked around a lot for something to use for 4" + and couldn't find much. I need something that's stiff enough to be functional at speeds 150+ MPH. Currently working with plastic sheet to make an air dam extension that can be painted body color. The version of my extension in the pic below is 4".
