Women that make bad decisions like bad boys and what says bad boy more than running out of space to put Banned from GRM 20xx tattoos? Plus for me to get a woman she has to be really good at making bad decisions.
Your street cred would be unfathomable with all the tattoos.
Men would want to be you and women would want you.
It's a solid plan and I don't see a downside, enjoy your ascent to Total Bad-assery

I’d take a view new post tool for threads as well. This is the only forum I use that doesn’t have it.
It’s at the top for me, I use it every time I log in. See where it says new topics? That shows me any post since the last time I visited

Thank you so much Margie.
This is why this is the only forum I use regularly anymore. I feel like family here.
This my greatest fear as a moderator and someone who loves the board. I'm glad good people are at the wheel.

i Have always said stuff just to see the Reaction, some didn't go as well as others,
This place does feel like Family, 'cept here you CAN pick your family ,

Just got an update from our developers:
Here’s the number of posts for these users on 7/26 and 7/31.
Cooter
7-26-2019 - 2590
7-31-2019 - 2620
GameboyRMH
7-26-2019 - 24,685
7-31-2019 - 24,710
AngryCorvair
7-26-2019 - 12,923
7-31-2019 - 12,942
As you can see, all three users gained in post numbers instead of decreased. So while they could have lost posts between those dates, they definitely didn’t lose all their posts. The topic/post example you gave for AngryCorvair was also missing from the 7/26 database. We went back to 7/10 and the post was there. So this post disappeared between 7/10 and 7/26 for reasons we can’t confirm at this time.
Do you have any more information that we could use to troubleshoot here?
Cooter, Angry, and GameBoy–can you remember any specific threads that are missing?

I haven't noticed any of mine missing (Edit: I can see how the earlier post I made confirming Cooter's observation could be interpreted that I did though), but unless they were recent I hardly would...I actually don't start many threads and have started very few over the last few months. Had a quick run-through and a bunch I can remember starting were all still there.
I saw that this one of Cooter's was missing and still is:
https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/how-much-is-too-much/155038/page4/
Thanks for digging into this! I really appreciate it.
Here are four threads that I started that are currently 404’d:
https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/angrycorvairs-2019-challenge-build-thread/143873/page1/
As I said, all of them are gone. There are over 23 missing that I started, as that is how many I had in my watch list. I would think a developer should be able to go back to before SHtB used the banning tool, and you would see them in my watchlist.
Aside from "How Much Is Too Much", there are
The build thread for
the CJ6 ("A Wild CJ6 Story)
Tan Panther
Chico, The Street Eagle
Not Sure If It Is An Adventure Yet...
Dajiban? '70s Style Custom??
Classic? Grassroots?? I Dunno...
Things I See At The Junkyard
Big In Japan- Cooter Does O-Kei
Truck Glut WWGRMD?
And quite a few more that I am unable to think of.
As an aside, when the tool is used on canoes, the canoes usually don't lose post count, even though you can't see the threads they posted anymore. So I don't think that is a good way to judge whether the threads are gone or not. I'm pretty sure my posts in other peoples' threads are still there. It is just my threads that are gone. All of them until the ban, and before I posted this thread.
If you look at the Wayback Machine for my profile, you can see the difference.
Unfortunately, the latest archive is from January, and that was before I started bookmarking a bunch of my threads in the past few months so I could find them easier.
Compare this to my watched threads now, and you can clearly see the difference-
Everywhere you see the word "none" is one of my own threads I have watched so that I could find them later. They are all gone. As you can see, there are other watched threads that are still there. Every one of these are threads that I didn't start.
~EDIT~ Readers Rides haven't been affected, which is why they are still in my watchlist.
Thanks for that post, Cooter. I just checked the wayback machine
https://web.archive.org/web/20190119095122/http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/community/AngryCorvair/
and realized another important (to me) thread is gone:
”I’m tired of being the Ho...” is the chronicle of my medical device invention, going through US FDA approval, patent applications being granted, fundraising, and various other things.
”Sadie the budget-friendly ‘95 M3” build thread, started around 2/24/16
and Ursula the E12 (1979 BMW 528i) build thread started around 3/15/148
I should note that I knew it happened because I watched the page “cycle” while it was loading, and it took a while. When it advanced to the “forum” page the tool will put a “green box” that indicated that “user Cooter has been deactivated and all threads have been deleted” ... which was odd, since Cooter hadn’t started that thread, and is why I immediately paged back and took a screen capture of the thread. I think sometime later another mod/employee came in and hit the spam thread tool again... so cooter probably got hit twice.
i think that thread ended up being removed by the “delete this thread only” tool.
there is no doubt in my mind that there are a set of conditions where the “delete all threads by this user” tool is acting on the another user in the thread and not the thread originator user. The question is, what are the conditions causing that to happen?
In reply to sleepyhead the buffalo :
Thanks. That makes sense to me, and also helps me get an insight in to the back end of the forum.
Question for forum gurus: I’d like to provide some Challenge build updates, but I don’t want to lose them and have to recreate them when / (if?) my previous build thread is restored.
if I start a new thread, can it be appended to the old thread post-revival?
thanks again. I appreciate this forum and all of you who keep it running.
Ordinarily, mods can combine threads, but the posts usually will be in chronological order. So your posts in the new thread would be added to the end of the original if and when they bring it back. But I am not familiar with how this forum works, as it is different from all the others I have been involved with.
You should still be able to delete any posts that duplicate information afterwards, however, as that is something that I know this forum allows.
In reply to AngryCorvair :
Your posts should be back soon, Angry. Give us just a little bit more time.
In reply to pinchvalve :
You can delete or edit a post. I've done it a few times. Especially for spelling or grammar errors that annoy me.

You dont get to take back the Kia rondo episode.
