I had a Kawasaki Bayou 300 2WD. It was a bear and pulled my 2300# racecar with ease.

Honda 300 with oversize tires. Big tires on an ATV are like tall tires on a car: the change the gear ratio so you lose bottom end grunt and add top end speed. A 300 is probably as small as I'd want to go and if you are thinking trailer I'd hold out for a bigger engine.

Having said that, a buddy had one almost exactly like it and that thing was a blast in sand dunes!
