I've cut the tails off them and have even spray painted their noses red the week before Christmas, but I've never gone the balloon route.

Since I am at work and the picture is blocked, my imagination ran wild with no context to relate to

That was done to a raccoon on the shoulder of the highway I drive to get home. First day fresh dead coon and full balloon. Each subsequent day the balloon shrank and the raccoon swelled up. It looked like he was on an IV line of gas.
