Was working at a customers house today. Elderly lady that lived with her daughter and granddaughter. Go into the (extremely cluttered) basement and there were vintage beer lights and signs hidden around behind the mess of crap. However, next to where I was working, there was an old Wurlitzer Jukebox, one I had never seen before. pretty cool looking.

I was making conversation the elderly lady, asking about the bar setup in the basement and she was telling me about how her husband had set it up for the kids so they wouldn't go out and get in trouble, etc. I told her about how that Wurlitzer was pretty cool looking and hopefully one day I could find one. She says "Oh really?" and I say yeah. She ponders for a few seconds and then replies: "Oh, I think my stepson wants it". I tell her that that's good, it should go to a good home.

Damn, so close.

Pretty cool to see one none the less. With a bit of an internet search, I found that it was a 1959 Wurlitzer model 2310. Looked exactly like this, just covered in an inch of dust.

Oh and the wife would have murdered me in my sleep.

That is awesome. I've ran across some cool E36 M3 in peoples basements over the years. No one ever wants to get rid of anything

I did work for an ex Hollywood stuntman a couple years ago, he had some great stuff and some great stories. He did the bridge jump in "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry". He also had a very mint early 30's Buick sitting in his driveway.

Ah the joys of being a "cable" guy. I was at this guy's house the other day.

I am a cable guy myself. Just like you, I have been in the most awesome houses and absolutely disgusting houses.

The best was Troy Trepanier's house. He invited me to stop by his shop any time for a tour. I have yet to do it.

Some of those beer signs might have been worth as much as that jukebox.

When you're serious about a jukebox, I know a guy with a warehouse full of them.

Probably not. They were mostly plastic light up signs. They usually don't go for more than $100.

That's always good to know, but too bad you live in the Pacific Northwest.

Not necessarily - some of those signs can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars, particularly if they have moving parts. Check some of the listing on eBay for Hamm's Beer signs: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=hamms+beer+signs

I've collected and sold beer lights for years. I looked at that link and those people trying to sell that stuff over $500 need to put down the crack pipe. Moving parts don't necessarily mean they are worth $2k. I have a few Old Style and Schlitz beer lights that have moving parts . My stepdad has a Schlitz sign thats rare and probably worth less than $500.

There isn't a very big market for Hamms beer stuff. If that was the Budweiser Clydesdale Wagon that spins around in the orb that hangs from the ceiling in awesome condition, I would say $2000 sounds reasonable.

It's depends on what people want pay.

Still on the other side of the country for me.

In Minnesota, the Hamm's stuff is huge - the going prices aren't far off what you see on eBay. I posted that link just because it was a brand I'm familiar with, I'm sure prices vary around the country depending on favorite local brands.

The point is, some of that stuff can be pretty valuable but it depends on the brand and the location.
