I haven't heard from or seen this guy around for a while:
Am I allowed to ask what happened to him?
Totally allowed! Joe moved on to other things several years ago - we still run into him around town every once in a while.
A retrospective of previous staff might be fun.
Provided there are no "We dont talk about Bruno" moments

Like any other workplace, people come and go for a wide variety of reasons. It's all pretty mundane, really.

Thanks for the update. I was going back and looking up some old threads and stumbled onto one of his posts.
It must be the little kid that lives inside of me, but every time I saw his avatar, I'd giggle a little bit. 😁
I remember chatting with Joe at the Challenge years ago. He was a funny dude and was trying to sell us an AMC Eagle 4x4 wagon. I liked him.
In reply to Datsun240ZGuy :
Joe was from Chicago, but I don’t recall him having a Mirage. Joe had an M3, an Eagle and, at some point, a Rambler.
JG had an ’80s Mirage turbo. The “Mi” was missing from the emblem, so we called it the rage.

I just remember somebody trying to sell a 2 door boxy old Mitsubishi that was stick shift with the extra "power shift" stick to use.
Might have been Joe. Lotta cars were passing through the office parking lot back then. He had an early Z, too. And a fun van.

maybe Joe's was a Colt? it was a red hatchback that he drove back to FL from somewhere in teh midwest, passing through Detroit late July 2014. i know this because i picked him up at this hotel and we pre-drove Woodward in my E12, which puked a halfshaft
and made us miss hanging out at his friend's bar in Ferndale. It did not happen again.
Twin stick Plymouth Champ? I think I bought it from someone down south Florida and ended up selling it to Mental who sold it to Les (different Joe's brother).
Yep, Joe moved on to a much more relaxing lifestyle than his sales role here a few years ago. Every time I've seen him since he's been smiling.
IIRC he sold the TR6 and turbo Miata, but still has his E36 M3.
This would be a fun article for an anniversary issue. "Whatever happened to...?" I suspect most staffers left under positive circumstances. It would be fun to find out what they are up to.
