Amazing slot car track

I happened across this 25 minute video about a retired Ford engineer's home slot car track.  The method of operation (AC versus DC power) is innovative and the detailing is amazing.

Wow that's quite the setup. I've always been intrigued by slot cars. Seems like a fun hobby.
