My Grandfather bought that car from Dick Teague and owned it for 15+ years. I rode in it at Daytona around the banking at 150 when I was around 11 years old. I have a ton of family photos of it.
It started life as a Spirit that AMC built for the PPG Indy Car Series. It had a 258 I-6 with a massive turbocharger on it and mechanical fuel injection. It hauled some serious @$$.
Gramps sold it to a guy that restored it and shoved it in a museum, though it does travel to some shows still.
