Now I was trying to figure out what to do with the second Cutlass that I basically only bought to get some spares for the first car. Well then about a month ago my girl friends brother and his wife bought a car exactly like Flo from Cars. Their plans for the car is to fix it up and paint it up like the one from the movie. Well we got watching the movie and I noticed something interesting about Chick Hicks (the G Body from the movie), while his front end is from a Buick Regal the rear quarters are actually from a Cutlass. It also just happens the car is already green and I'm taking the front fenders and bumpers to put on Cutlass #1...

However I think I would prefer the "DinoCo" (Petty) blue.
Same color as my Oscarvan

I think it would be awesome, btw!
Yours and mine would make quite the color coordinated team rig.
Yeah they would make a good team.
I think its funny over here guys will think its a good idea but you propose the same idea on a G body forum and people just start screaming that its evil and it just makes me want to do it more.
I know I will need to swap all the front sheet metal, the core support, bumpers and re-contour the wheel openings (Cutlass ones are more squared).

I think you're overthinking the accuracy of modeling a car after a cartoon.
But yes...it would be very cool.
I had the idea to make my '83 Toyota pickup into the Pizza Planet truck off "Toy Story."

Coincidentally enough... 86 has always been my go to racing number ("86 the competition")...and will very likely be emblazoned on the side of the G-body that will be pulled behind the Oscarvan.

I really wanted to do this for a Challenge car. I still might one day.
Clem oh I over think everything for these cars its why I make such slow progress sometimes lol.
Coincidentally I just got off the phone with a local engine builder and he said he use to advertise with the magazine.
Speaking of progress (I usually just get stuck in reverse)...I'm waiting with bated breath for an update on your Cutlass.

Clem well see there is the problem I keep changing my mind on what to do with them. However since I learned the heads on my engine are 041X heads I'm thinking that engine will go in this project and I will have to find a new engine for the '80. More than likely this car will get the 4spd and maybe stick an auto in the '80 making it more of a cruiser not sure yet. Expect some progress over winter when I have more free time on my hands the last few months I have been insanely busy.
