Yes pretty interesting.

I love how he wines that the fact that the big 3 will now no longer be shoveling huge amounts of sponsorship / endorsement money is somehow a great downfall. You mean those meat heads playing those "sports" will not be able to be payed those ungodly salaries anymore!!! Oh the tragedy!!! What will we do!!

I find his example of the new labor contracts that hire in many workers at $14/hour as "trimming" in the big 3 interesting. Considering they are going to be downsizing, I really don't see them hiring many new workers (they certainly will not be allowed to remove the older workers first). So it seems like this point is mute.

His point that the workers may not be able to afford the cars they build is almost funny also. You know, there is another solution to that problem...

According to this article, these are only hints and rumors. Of course it would be pretty hard for Nissan to sell rebadged Dodge trucks if Chrysler goes bankrupt.

Chrysler also became the sole supplier to VW for all its Minivan production in North America. Chrysler has also entered into alliances with suppliers to develop innovative powertrain technology to support improved fuel economy.

Of course this is kind of a flounder. The article is about bailing out the big three, not about Nissan getting out of the truck business.
