I wanted to know if anyone ever put a 302 in a Ford Tempo and this is what I find.
Quoteed from Ford Forums:
5.0 tempo?- vanilla ice says rofl ice ice baby rofl
Stumbling through old music viedos i found guess who, vanilla ice rofl ice ice baby
in it he speaks of " rolling, in a suped up tempo.... 5.0 sumhing bla bla"
in the viedo he shows a side shot driver side of the cars mid section its a white 4 door converitable. its got a low cut winshield like a tempo but
hes so cheap he only gets the mid area enuf to see the 5.0 name plate on the end of the front quater pannel.
honstly if its a mustang i think he rented it to shoot the viedo.
any 1 know of a 5.0 tempo?
from about the time he shot this viedo, the car was brand new
I would also like you all to insert your hotlinks due to my potentially racist sounding topic name.
Thank you for that by the way.
WHADDA YA MEAN, "you people?"
What do YOU mean, "you people?"
could he possibly be talking about the music tempo considering it's a song? maybe
If you click on the link, someone brings that up, but yea, it was a Mustang in the video. The author also had issues with his math. Two doors, not four.
I alway thought it was a shame the AWD Trmpo was so full of suckage, and wished Ford would have included the "sport" V6/5-spd combo as an option for it.
Found an interesting body kit...

I've heard the HSC 2.3 is an inline 6 with two pots chopped off. My point? Bellhousing patterns should match. Does the straight 300 I6 have the same bell pattern as the two smaller straight sixes? If so, you can get five liters to bolt up to a stock transaxle.

Dammit to hell stop posting crap like that!
I secretly want to do an SVO drivetrain in one of these.......oh wait I just said that out loud!
If I were going to drop under $500 on some late 80's FWD Ford crapcan I would probably take the Tempo over the Escort. They were no uglier or better looking than their contemporaries but for some reason I have a soft spot for the 2dr version.
Style wise they have promise, but I have yet to see one pulled off really well. This one gets about 70% of the way there.
Too smooth though. it needs some door handles or something to to add definition. Perhaps a simple pinstripe.
I remember building a "Pro Street" Tempo model kit in the 80's that was just so much cooler than the pro street Baretta that I also (probably) snapped together.
