There are some abandoned train tunnels near me in Colorado. Leftovers from the Colorado Midland railway, the first standard gauge railway over the continential divide in Colorado. These have been abandoned for almost 100 years now.

I once drove through (too quickly to get a good look) an overgrown abandoned naval base that became a school that became a temporary prison. I didn't know what it was at the time and was totally confused.

What's this building I caught a glimpse of that looks like a class room and has prison cells in it, and why is it all in the middle of nowhere?

This cries out for a rails to trails project.

There's an abandoned railroad roundhouse on private property outside of town here. It's been abandoned 60-years or more(we used to play there as kids), and I had a chance to revisit it a couple years ago.

Pretty much looks like the entire city of Detroit.

Depends on what part of Hawaii. The Kona side of the Big Island reminds me of Arizona, down to the prickly pears. And the Saddle Road area looks like you're on the moon. The less rain these places get, the longer it takes.

The original video was interesting to watch - looked like Mad Max meets Initial D. (A dark version of a Eurobeat tune might have been fitting...)

I'd love to check out some of the abandoned builders in my home town, the birthplace of International Paper.

If your convicted of Trespassing multiple times, when does it become a felony?

In certain cases and in certain places, trespassing is felonious the first time.

Detroit has a lot of urban ruins. The Ruins of Detroit.

One of my favorites...

The Ruins of Detroit.

A theater so big...it's now used as a parking lot. They didn't even bother removing the ornate ceiling.

There are some more beautiful ruins at the link. Detroit is like a beauty queen with dementia. You can still see the beauty there but the fire is just about out...

Reading your post and drooling over the pictures while on the mend with bicycle induced road rash was torture. Now I need to make a few trips down into PA.

Looked again, it is a 5 1/2 hour drive to the tunnels, so I will have to wait and go when I can camp for a night or two.

As far as the eye could see in any direction, there was no sign of life. Just rocks and coal and bare earth, and all sorts of weird colors . Got me worried about my tires and what might be happening to them.

And thats why I moved out of Wilkes-barre after 1.5 years and had to have major oral surgery to remove what was left of my teeth and parts of my jaw.

There are quite a few abandoned tunnels in northwest NJ.
You can read about some of them HERE

I've walked and ridden my bike through this Andover tunnel many time:

Here's another Andover tunnel with my MGB in front of it.

I've been researching this for quite awhile. Thanks for the kudos.

Richmond supposedly has unmapped sewer tunnels AND is known to have a sealed train tunnel that collapsed on a work train and crew. The train and crew are still down there.

For some reason, I want to say that someone has somewhat recently poked around in those tunnels.
