Ex-Spy Alleges Bush White House Sought to Discredit Critic
Granted, it's "alleged" but still something that we all suspected would happen once domestic spying of any kind is allowed.
This isn't meant as a partisan argument. Bush opened the door in the post-9/11 environment for this. Obama is still allowing our civil liberties to be violated.

Yes indeed. The policies of both are rather statist in this regard. As a result, the Patriot act gives the government incredible powers over us if they choose to use them as such.

Why do you suggest this kind of crap didn't occur before electricity was harnessed?
Do you seriously believe this is the first time something like this has happened in US history? That domestic spying has never occurred before?
You should read up on the FBI under Hoover.
Domestic spying in the US has a long history. Going back just as far as their were people.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is giving significant new powers to its roughly 14,000 agents, allowing them more leeway to search databases, go through household trash or use surveillance teams to scrutinize the lives of people who have attracted their attention.

Some interesting solution if you care about that monitoring.

Of course it occurred. But back then it was illegal. Now it is fully supported by our government and our government representatives.
I do find it ironic how much of the public is in horror that the government would spy on them, while the rest is busy posting every possible personal detail about themselves.
The future will be full of "Weiners", they will look back and laugh at our foolishness.

I find it funny you don't understand the difference between VOLUNTARY and INVOLUNTARY.
I find if funny you don't understand the meaning of IRONIC and MUCH and REST.
(although it might be stretch using ironic in that case, but most people would understand what I mean)

Are you saying you hope to be full of "Weiners"?

I must have developed a problem with reading comprehension. I skipped right over that.
My apologies.

it's gonna be real fun in the next 10-15 years as the teenage girls from the recent past try to run for public office or whatever and all the pictures that they posted online suddenly appear.
So are you saying that my websites; www.picturesofmyweiner.net and www.mybowelmovements.org and www.whyihatenorfolk.co.uk are bad ideas?
